"CO.2 PLANT
Sometimes even the best illumination in an aquarium is not sufficient to have the satisfaction of seeing the plants growing strong and healthy. It is now well-known that aquatic plants in an aquarium need nutritional elements, which we can sum up in three main points:
abundant carbon dioxide present in an aquarium,
fertilising substances in a liquid form containing nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium (see NUTRONFLORA),
iron and trace elements (see NUTRONFERRO) to prevent the leaves from yellowing and breaking.
Some years ago PRODAC introduced onto the market a new type of integrator for fresh water with really excellent results. This is BIOTRIX, a solution that contains chloride, sodium, sulphate, magnesium, potassium, lithium carbonate, zinc, nickel, amino-acids, humic acid, fulvic acid, protein, vitamin, glucides, growth substances, polypeptides and peptides. Biopromoters: auxines, folic acid, quinones, etc. Macro-, meso- and micro-elements:
(N, P, K, Ca, Mg, S, Fe, Zn, Mn, B, Co, Mo).
It has been only in recent years that the importance of fertilisation with carbon dioxide has been recognised. However we often consider that the best procedures and the best apparatus for CO2 diffusion cannot be of any use if even one of the other nutritional substances is missing (The "law of minimum" known since 1840).
With Co2 PLANT, the carbon dioxide does not come out of a bottle, but is liberated from a tablet by a chemical reaction. At the same time, the remaining fertilising components change into a soluble form which is easily absorbed by the plants. Each tablet is made in such a way as not to leave traces of excipients in the water. The active products consist exclusively of fertilising substances which are precisely proportional to the plants.
Co2 PLANT is the complete effective fertiliser that contains all that aquatic plants need: all three types of food in a single tablet.
Instructions for use:
Every week use 1 tablet for each 50 litres of water in the aquarium. The tablets dissolve slowly, releasing the CO2. When using more than one tablet, drop them into different parts of the aquarium, so that the water becomes uniformly saturated with carbon dioxide.
The aerator and filter can be left to operate even with activated carbon. Even repeated overdoses are harmless.
With Co2 PLANT, the hardness does not increase"
