Hello, i want to buy some aquarium plants in sweden and i need some help. I am not in sweden but my brother is. I am looking for echinodorus aquartica, red flame, red special, tricolor, red diamond and pogostemon helferi downoi, aponogeton madascariensis, bolivianus and i am open to any other beautiful plant from vic list.
Perhaps somebody have some know an e mail adress of where to buy them.
I apologize if post is not in the correct place. Tak and warm greetings
Well, you can try Akvarielagret in Bromma, Stockholm (http://www.akvarielagret.se/karta/karta.html) . From Stockholm Central station take the tube, green line to Hässelby Strand, jump off at Stora Mossen and then just follow that map. They usually have a lot of those big plants you mention.
Hi welcome to Zoopet,
If you are looking for places on the web, you have a few to choose from:
http://www.pwss.nu
http://www.firren.com
But i think the easiest way to do it is to go to the nearest fish store who sell Tropicas plants and ask them to order them home, then you are pretty sure you will get as many of them as possible without your brother driving around like crazy and spending a lot of time on it.
I'm quite impressed that you fond the right subject without knowing the language, this subject is plant and algae, i guess you looked it up some where?

NE and Patricks, thanks for the answers.
NE, at tropica website they don´t have the e mails of the local dealers, just phones.
I arrive at this section by discarding because i understood some words at other sections, luck also helped the same than online dictionaries.
Thanks again.
Best regards

Wuhaa, nice pics, tnx! Great looking tank - must be a lot of work with pruning that green monster! ;)
I agree, nice tank.
I think almost all fish stores would be able to order the tropica plants.
Here is some on tropicas site with addresses, but no email, some is clickabe for directing to their sites:
http://www.tropica.com/dealers_list.asp?countrycode=SE&continentname=Europe
But as they say on the site it's just a few of the ones selling their plants, most is handled through whole-salers.
In which region of sweden is your brother staying?

You got my vote on Akvarielagret as well.
Great store, lots of plants and nice fish.
My fish moved there after I got the turtoise (there just wasn´t enough time for the fish, sadly).
In the heart of Stockholm, not far from subway Slussen, there is a smaller store named Alba ZOO.
They have good stuff there.
Prices are really nice too. 75 SEK for a 10 litre goldfish bowl (I´m not buying one though, goldfish need at least 26 gallons/100 litres.)
And of course they sell plants too.
Good luck with the planthunting :)
