Hi All,
Just thought to tell you a few things about me, now that I'll be browsing your forum and probably ask annoying questions from time to time.
I had aquariums all my life (30 years - initially my dad had them so I was a passive baby hobbyist, when he gave up I adopted the remaining ones and continued from there), however I am faaaaar from being a pro. I kept mostly cory catfish and livebearers, my favourite of these being the cory julii and the black sailfins.
I have a cayman 110 aquarium (cca 230l) in my home town, which I will have to disinstall...[:(] Now I have a 54l eheim aquastar here which I just bought, and I'm hoping to bring some of my fish via airplane (not the larger ones such as the hoplo catfish and some immense swordtails), especially my orange colisas.
I will definitely bring my beloved plants as well.
It's tough to downgrade so severely but I try to encourage myself so I stare at my new acquisition and repeat myself endleslly that it's not so small after all.
As I said on another thread I am happy to have found you and I will use your forum to start understanding the language.
Best,
D.
Well, I'm gonna give you a big warm WELCOME! :D

Welcome to...erm...The Zoop! :)
Corys are among my favourites, too...they are so cute and easily cared for. They make me think of old Volkswagens with moustaches. :D

Hi and welcome! I have got a 54l aquarium too! And a 102l.
(I'm sorry but my english isn't so good)
Thank you all for the warm welcome! Nice comparison Jens A. :)
I think I've toured most of the most relevant petshops with aquariums so far. Had a few disappointments (Vasa is closed, Akvarie-Leasing doesn't actually have a petshop in G. etc.) and seen a few good shops. Unfortunately none is close to my home (in Johanneberg - there is one on Gibraltargatan but whenever I got there it was closed though within the opening hours) so that is a bit annoying. So in short within two weeks I visited the corner in Hornbach, Tropical Akvariefisk Import, Herkules Zoo, Hisingens Zoo, Godhems Zoologiska, Stork Zoo, Gubbero Zoo. If there is a big one that is not in my list please let me know. :)
I've been trying to understand the forum :D as I am aware that I am likely to ask the questions that have already been responded to in Swedish. Also I don't know the terms of use so I am unsure as to what one should not post (but I have seen some of the shops names above mentioned on the forum so I guess that is okay).
I have only seen cories julii in one shop (Stork zoo) but they were huge and I like buying obviously young looking fish. In the past I only had aeneus (and reproduced them), peppered and julii, so I am a bit wary of trying other types.

Have you visit Havanna zoo? It's a lot of people in Zoopet like say that is a good shop. I have never be there..
Thank you for the links, they look interesting. I will not try them for the moment however, I need to get acquainted with the area more. It is not very easy for foreigners to use the buses to more remote areas, as the magic "next stop", "next next stop" of the central trams is absent, plus buses do not make all the stops so sometimes not even counting the stops is useful for someone who doesn't know the area. I already got off at the wrong bus stops a few times :)
I was hoping you might know more nearby shops, not even more distant than the ones I found...
I have four little tiny fish now, got two from one shop and two from another, in both places incorrectly identified (cory habrosus in one shop, cory hastatus in another, in fact they are aspidoras pauciradiatus - I would be grateful if you let me know if you see these little monsters in Got. shops).
Hi DeDee!
Well, you´re obviously a dedicated aquarist!!
I think you´ll be a real asset to this forum, with your obvious knowledge of corys.I keep corys too, but don´t know their scientific names. Jens´ comparison to a Wolksvagen is totally cute, I loved that one.
Just remember, on this forum, no questions are annoying!! No one expects you to understand Swedish,(just yet!!) and most of us will probably enjoy trying out our English on you. So, from this Stockholm fish lover, welcome to the forum.
I may be dedicated but I am not very knowledgeable. Google is :-) I am just a good researcher and I really love fish :-)
My little monsters didn't look like what they were sold as, so I googled up various photos until I found fish that were similar to mine and then I just followed the links. These are mine: http://photo.acvarist.ro/acvarii-aspidoras-pauciradiatus-3008.htm .
